par·al·lax /ˈpar.ə.laks/

noun. The apparent shift of an object when you look at it from two places at once.

Here, the object is your portfolio. The two places are the path you took and the path you would have taken by doing nothing. Every time you trade, both keep running. The gap between them is what the decision was worth, and your own history becomes something you can learn from.

Two paths leave one trade; the gap between them is what the trade was worth the path you took the path you left your trade

What you already have

  • Broker: what you made when you sold, never what the stock did next
  • Spreadsheet: flexible, but kept up by hand
  • Tracker: one return for everything, not which decisions made it
  • AI adviser: ideas for what to buy next
  • Trading journal: notes on how you traded

The Parallax question

Was each move better than keeping what I had?

  • Your habits, in numbers. Do you sell winners too early, or hold losers too long? Parallax counts it from your own trades.
  • The moves that mattered. Every decision ranked by what it added or cost, so you see which ones made your result.
  • A check before you trade. Ask your own Claude or ChatGPT. It answers from your record and your rules, never with a tip.
  • Years of history, judged on day one. Import from one broker or several, and every past decision is measured right away.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 benchmarks are there too, for the portfolio as a whole.

Features

Everything you know, and everything you didn't

Your decisions come first. Around them sit the views you would expect from a good tracker, all built from the same history.

Stock drill-down Per account

Every trade, on its price chart.

Open any holding to see each buy and sell marked on its price history, sized by amount, with same-day round trips, realized and unrealized gain, win rate, FX impact, and how each exit looked 3, 6 and 12 months later.

Performance calendar Per account

Every trading day of every year.

A daily heatmap for each year, a monthly returns table, win rate, profit factor, streaks, and your best and worst days. Weekday patterns and a year-in-review story sit beside it.

AI assistant & integration Read-only

Ask your record in plain language.

Ask in the app, or connect your own Claude or ChatGPT. Both answer from the same calculations the dashboard shows, link to the trade or holding they mean, and can check a trade you are considering against your own rules. Neither can trade.

Analytics dashboard Per account

Your habits, measured.

Holding time against return, position size against outcome, P&L by weekday, win rate by time of day, buy and sell profiles, a contribution stream by stock, results against market mood, and intraday round trips. A chart that needs more trades says so.

Combined view All accounts

Every account, and all of them.

Each broker account keeps its own history. The All accounts view adds them up: value stacked by account, benchmarks, and a timeline of decisions that names each one's account. Analyses that stop meaning anything once accounts are added together are left out.

Portfolio goal Per account

A target, and when you might reach it.

Compare up to five scenarios, each with its own monthly need, inflation before and during withdrawals, contributions and years of runway. Follow the glide path at your own return or a cautious one, and see which assumption moves the number most.

Price targets Per account

What the portfolio you hold now could be worth.

Set bear, base and bull prices for each position you hold today and see the portfolio's value in each case, the positions that swing it most, and the annual return that implies to a date you choose. It is your expectation, written down. Parallax makes no forecast.

Supported brokers

Covering Europe's top brokers

Import your full history from one broker or several. Parallax also reads the deposits, withdrawals, fees, splits and currencies that every return depends on.

How Parallax handles your data

Privacy first, at every move

Parallax only reads your history. It never places a trade, moves money or changes anything at your broker, and a connected AI assistant gets the same read-only access. Your portfolio stays yours, and you can export a full backup whenever you like.

Before you import

Frequently asked questions.

How far back can Parallax go?

As far back as your broker's export does. Parallax rebuilds the whole history you import, so a decision you made years ago is measured the day you import it. Interactive Brokers sends at most a year per request, so a longer history there is imported a year at a time.

Can it handle day trading or frequent trading?

Yes. Buying and selling the same position on the same day is counted as a day trade, fees included, and shown next to your other decisions without changing their results. A long, busy history imports in full; the first import can take several minutes.

How big a portfolio can Parallax track? Can I combine brokers?

Plans differ by the number of broker accounts (1, 3 or 10), not by the size of the portfolio. Each account keeps its own history, and the All accounts view adds them up where the sum still means something.

Can I use Parallax with my own AI assistant?

Yes. Add Parallax to Claude or ChatGPT as a custom connector, sign in, and approve read access. Claude Code, the APIs and your own scripts use a personal token you can revoke instead. Your assistant reads Parallax's calculations for all your accounts or one, and can check a trade you are considering against your own rules and history. It cannot trade, move money, or change your portfolio.

Does a move that beat holding prove I am a good investor?

No. It compares a decision with keeping what you had, not with a benchmark or a perfect portfolio. It is a record of the past to learn from, not proof of skill and not a forecast.

Does Parallax place trades, file taxes, or give advice?

No. Parallax is read-only analytical software for education and review. It does not place trades, move money, file taxes, or provide investment advice.

Can I export or delete my data?

You can export a full portfolio backup any time. During the beta, ask for deletion through your invitation email or support. There is no self-service delete yet.

What does it cost?

Three plans, from €35 a year. A newly approved account gets 14 days of Pro free with no card, and beta users keep Pro free until 31 December 2026. See the plans.
